Betting Rules

These Betting Rules explain the general principles that apply when placing and settling bets with Casinova. They are intended to help players understand how bets are accepted, recorded, settled and reviewed. These rules should be read together with the applicable Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Responsible Gambling information. Where a specific market, promotion or product has additional rules, those rules may also apply.

Casinova operates under licences from the Anjouan Gaming Authority, PAGCOR and the Curaçao Gaming Authority, providing regulatory oversight across multiple jurisdictions.

General betting principles

By placing a bet with Casinova, you confirm that you are legally permitted to gamble in your location and that the information held on your account is accurate and up to date. You must use your own account, follow all applicable account requirements and comply with the laws that apply to you. Betting should be treated as entertainment, not as a way to make money or recover losses.

A bet is generally accepted only when it has been successfully submitted through the website or approved betting service and is recorded in your account history. Selecting a market or entering a stake does not, by itself, confirm that a bet has been accepted. You should check the confirmation screen and your account history before assuming that a bet is active.

  • You are responsible for checking the selection, odds, stake, bet type and any applicable conditions before confirming a bet.
  • Once accepted, a bet cannot normally be changed, withdrawn or cancelled by the player unless a specific rule or feature permits this.
  • A bet may be refused, limited, suspended or cancelled where required by law, technical conditions, risk controls or these rules.
  • Only bets recorded in the official account system are considered valid evidence of a wager.
  • You should keep your account secure and notify Casinova through the available support channel if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Odds may change before a bet is accepted. The odds shown at the time of confirmation are generally the odds that apply to the bet, subject to the relevant product rules. If a technical issue displays incorrect odds or market information, Casinova may review the bet and take action in accordance with its Terms and Conditions and applicable law.

Account and identity requirements

Players may be required to verify their identity, age, location, payment method or source of funds. Verification checks can be completed before or after a bet is placed. If requested information is not provided, or if an account does not meet the applicable requirements, access to betting or account funds may be restricted while the matter is reviewed.

Markets, events and bet acceptance

Markets are offered for selected sporting, racing, gaming or other events. The availability of a market, its selections, prices and permitted bet types may vary. You should read the information displayed with each market before placing a bet, including any event date, starting time, competition details, participant names and special conditions.

Casinova may suspend a market at any time. Suspension can occur when an event is starting, during a material change, when the result is being checked, or when technical or integrity concerns arise. Bets submitted while a market is suspended may not be accepted. If a bet appears to have been accepted during a suspension or other irregular period, it may be reviewed under the applicable rules.

  • The event or market description should be checked carefully before confirmation.
  • A listed participant, team, competitor or outcome may be subject to correction if displayed incorrectly.
  • Where an event is postponed, abandoned, interrupted or materially changed, settlement will follow the rules for that product and market.
  • A market may be declared void where there is insufficient information, an error, an integrity concern or another valid reason under the applicable rules.
  • If a market has special conditions, those conditions take priority for that market where they are inconsistent with general information.

Multiple and combined bets

A multiple, parlay or other combined bet is made up of more than one selection. Each selection must be assessed under the relevant market rules. If one selection is void, the remaining selections may be treated according to the rules for the particular bet type. Some combinations may not be permitted where selections are related, dependent or otherwise unsuitable for combination.

Where a bet includes an incorrect combination, duplicated selection or technical error, Casinova may review the bet and determine the appropriate outcome in line with the applicable product rules. The account history and bet confirmation should be used to identify the selections and terms attached to a bet.

Results, settlement and corrections

Bets are settled using an official result or another reliable result source appropriate to the relevant event or market. The settlement process may take place after the event has finished, and some markets may require additional checking before a final result is recorded. A displayed result may be provisional until the market has been fully settled.

If a result is changed by the relevant sporting body, authority or official source, Casinova may correct the settlement where this is permitted by the applicable rules. Corrections can include re-settling a bet, reversing an incorrect credit or applying a void outcome. Account balances may therefore change after an initial settlement if an error or official result change is identified.

  • Winning bets are settled according to the accepted odds and applicable market terms.
  • Losing bets are settled when the relevant result confirms that the selected outcome did not win.
  • Void bets are generally returned or treated as specified by the relevant product rules, while a void selection in a combined bet may affect the overall calculation.
  • Dead heats, ties, draws, abandoned events and no-result outcomes may have special settlement rules.
  • Where the result cannot be confirmed or the event does not meet the required conditions, the market may be voided or settled under its specific terms.

Errors and technical issues

Casinova aims to provide accurate market information, odds and account records. However, errors can occur because of data feeds, software, communication systems or other technical circumstances. If an obvious error affects a bet, Casinova may cancel, void or correct the affected bet, subject to applicable law and the relevant terms.

Players should not attempt to take advantage of an obvious mistake, malfunction or pricing error. If you notice a problem with a bet, result or balance, stop using the affected feature and report the issue through the available support channel. Casinova may investigate unusual betting activity, duplicated transactions or other conduct that indicates misuse of the service.

Responsible betting and disputes

Betting should remain within your personal limits. Before placing a bet, consider how much time and money you can comfortably afford to spend. Never chase losses, borrow money to gamble, or bet when you are distressed, under the influence of alcohol or unable to make a clear decision.

  • Set a budget before you start and treat that budget as entertainment spending.
  • Take regular breaks and avoid increasing stakes to recover previous losses.
  • Use available responsible gambling tools, including deposit, spending, time or activity controls where offered.
  • Consider self-exclusion or account closure if gambling is no longer enjoyable or is becoming difficult to control.
  • Seek independent support if betting is affecting your finances, relationships, work or wellbeing.

If you have a question about a bet, first review the bet confirmation, account history and market information. If the issue remains unresolved, raise it through Casinova's available customer support process. Include the relevant bet reference, event or market details and a clear description of the concern. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information.

Complaints are reviewed using the account record, transaction history, market rules, official results and any available technical information. Casinova may request further information to verify the account or understand the issue. A decision may be communicated after the review is complete. Nothing in these Betting Rules removes any rights you may have under applicable Australian consumer or gambling laws.

These rules may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to products, laws, technology or operational processes. The version available when a bet is accepted will generally apply to that bet, unless a later change is required by law or corrects an obvious error. By continuing to use Casinova, you acknowledge that you are responsible for reviewing the current rules before betting.
